| Plastic "disc" with laser
burnable "foil" "sandwiched" between two
layers of plastic. One layer is transparent, so the laser can burn the
data onto the foil. The other layer, backside, is opaque so that when
laser is reading data it will reflect back to receiver and not pass
through to the other side of disk. |
